One more to Go!! - Recap of 16.4

The 16.4 workout was a treat and like all the other workouts this year in the Open it was a great combinations of Gymnastics, Gas & Strength.

13min AMRAP

55 Dead Lifts 102/70kgs

55 Wall Balls

55 Row for Calories

55 Handstand Push Ups

If you were lucky enough to get a full round those Dead Lifts all of a sudden felt an extra 50kg heavier!!

So how did the BMA athletes go this week:

Ryan took out the rep count this week with 249 (29 Deadlifts on the second round) followed closely by Quinn on 243. Ryan is currently sitting in 21st place in the Australian Region with the top 30 going to regional's hes looking good to make the cut.

Quinn is sitting close to the top 30 as well in 36th spot and hoping for some Thrusters next week . The main question will be if these guys choose to go teams or if they have a crack at the individual competition. Injustice crew are sitting in 6th spot overall for teams and if they give a solid performance next week it should secure them a spot to Regional's too.

Tash had a stunner workout this week - She first attempted the workout and didn't quite finish a round. She new she had more in her so she redid the workout to get 13 reps on the second round!! With a not so good performance last week but a top 10 on 16.2 Tash will be hoping for some heavy Thrusters come 16.5.

Mell is sitting only two spots away from Tash in 117th Overall. She has been super busy with life and travels and only having one shot at 16.4 she still managed to chuck up a very respectable score of 205 reps.

Lets take a look at the rest of the WA #SuperHumans

Girls Side:

Helen Harding - the crazy good mum is sitting in 4th spot overall!! - Lets just appreciate that for a little bit. - Not only that she is winning the worldwide masters 40-45 division. With a good placing next week this will leave Helen with a lot of choices to compete Teams, Individuals and or Masters.

2nd on the list is Ang Kyme. She has just simply worked her butt off this year and its showing. With a good workout next week we will be sure to see her competing at regional's and crushing all the strict HSPU's & Muscle Ups.

Carly Menzies is in 28th place and will be hoping for a good 16.5 to secure her spot to her 3rd Regional's appearance.

On the outskirts but still within the top 60 lie Michelle Montgomery, Quinn Te Kahu and Leah Holmes. With Michelle and Quinn possibly going teams we are pumping our fists for Leah. She needs a really good 16.5 to make it to the top 30 but we all know she loves a Thruster and heavy barbell so we will be crossing our fingers and our toes.

Men's Leader-board:

Hayden LaVanda tops off the Men's Leader-board this week at 15th spot. He is followed close by Kosta Ilic in 16th and unless these guys have a massive blow out come 16.5 they should have a pretty solid run at Regional's this year.

Ryan Woodall sits in 21st overall. Again with a good performance on 16.5 this would allow him to have the choice of going Individuals or Teams for 2016. His team mate Ngarimu Ahipene is close behind in 44th spot and has improved a huge amount this year.

Rounding out the top 60 is Callum Foster who like Nga has just shot through the roof in his performances this year compared to last.

With one week to go we know anything can happen. A humongous GOOD LUCK to all those going out to attack 16.5 this week!!
